North Carolina Engineers Week

The NC-EWeek volunteer group encourages North Carolina school children to increase their technical literacy and pursue technology careers by providing role models from the local engineering community.

This is the 60th anniversary of Engineers Week, also called EWeek for short, and IBM's centennial anniversary. During this year's presentations we will also be honoring the many leaders who have made Engineers Week possible over these 6 decades!

  • EWeek 2011 Kick-Off Presentation
Fran O'Sullivan is our featured guest for our 2011 EWeek Kickoff meeting in the EAFC (Building 400) on the IBM RTP main site at 9:30am on Thursday 3Feb2011. Fran has been a very vocal proponent of K-12 Education initiatives at IBM and with Lenovo. We hope you can come and hear for yourself Fran's enthusiasm in helping motivate our regional NC-EWeek volunteers during this 100th anniversary of IBM's founding.  Please plan to join us to hear Dr. Dave and to pick up your EWeek supplies.

It's that exciting time of the year again.  EWeek, or Engineers Week, is ready to start.  It's time to talk with our students.  Whether you are in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, business, or other fields, your career is an exciting, sharing time for our students.  We can expose them to their future career possibilities just by sharing our careers/jobs with them.   We can help our students because once you help them, it is hard to walk away or say no.  Please help our nation alleviate a talent gap that we face in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, or STEM, the international language of innovation. Please plan to join us in the Employee Activity Fitness Center  on Thursday, February 3rd at 9:30 am, along with being able to register for a school(s) to visit, to get supplies, and to get training if needed.  Please remember that you can always use your own sharing ideas with our students.
